Verizon Fios speed

Starting at 300 Mbps, Verizon offers some of the fastest overall speeds of any internet provider. Because it uses a fiber connection, you’ll get the same upload and download speeds. (Upload speeds are typically much lower.) That means you won’t have any lagging with things like online gaming or video conference.

Verizon also delivers on the speeds you pay for. In the FCC’s latest report, Verizon Fios ranked as the very best provider for reaching the speeds that they advertise. It was also one of the most consistent, delivering these speeds even during peak internet hours.

Verizon Fios customer satisfaction

The American Customer Satisfaction Index awarded Verizon Fios the second-placed spot of any internet provider in 2024, with a score of 77 out of 100. AT&T took top honors with a score of 80.

How does Verizon Fios compare?

Our take

No matter how you look at it, Fios by Verizon is either the best or second-best internet provider in the country. (AT&T Fiber also has a decent argument.) Its prices are very reasonable for the speeds it provides, and Verizon consistently delivers on those speeds. Put simply, if Verizon Fios is available at your address, you should get it.
